Name: Crypt lord (HAH) but seriously. Crypt master, crypt X really. Crypt sounds cool.
Playstyle / General Idea: Hero is a very survivable low damage hero who focuses mostly on plagues and zombies. He doesn't work well with teammates or even his own army, sorta. His plagues can spread to anyone but anyone that dies by his plague or with his plague on them becomes a zombie. Hes slow though, and his damage isn't low but his attack speed is very slow. The general idea is hes hard to kill but by himself won't cause much trouble. His general playstyle is wearing down heroes and armies by sheer resilience and DoT effects.
Innate: Plague. An AoE ability which puts a debuff lasting ~10 seconds on people. Does not spread on attacks, does not spread at all. The idea here is to keep him from getting out of control by limiting his ability to go out of control. Anyway, if anyone dies while under the effect of the plague they become a zombie under the crypt guy's control. Light damage. Zombies are resilient but also have average damage but low attack speed.
Abilities / Ultimate:
First ability is a swarm of insects or something like that that slows the attack speed and movement speed of an enemy while doing light/medium damage. If the enemy dies while under this spell the crypt guy is healed for 20% his life and restores 10% mana. 12 second cooldown, 8 second duration. If the insects attack a plagued target they cause an additional medium damage over time effect.
Second ability is a life drain from an ally. Except it works differently. He doubles the damage and attack speed of an ally for 10 seconds. Each second however the unit loses 10% of remaining life and his attack speed goes down 10% and his damage goes down 10%. All lost life is gathered onto the crypt guy. If the unit is plagued and has this effect on them when they die they become a different kind of mummy. He has extremely low damage (maybe 10% of an average hero) and just average life. All damage he causes however is given to the crypt guy as life. If this mummy is afflicted by the insects he dies in 3 seconds. The lore is the insects immediately tear him apart for life.
A super anti magic shield. A buff is shown on the crypt guy and a non super obvious effect is shown. Like a subtle black glow or something. The next spell cast on the hero is blocked and that hero takes medium damage in return. The idea here is that the crypt guy has magical defenses since hes a light magic user. I should note this is CAST. Its not innate, it lasts maybe 7 seconds with 14 seconds cooldown.
His ultimate is a bit of a weird. The idea is that the crypt guy completely disperses his body away from a solid form. He becomes a cloud then the cloud stealths all while he regenerates 4% of his total life a second. He stays in this form for about 8 seconds before becoming corporal again. When he becomes corporal he seconds out kinda a dark nova that does medium damage.
Other: The model idea is kinda a anubis dog god looking egyptian kinda fellow. The general idea is he has been buried for awhile and has come back up to get an empire going for himself again. He tells one of the armies that he will support them in their fight but really intends to just grow in power from the death and decay. His gameplay style reflects this and his plague hurts everyone regardeless of faction.
He should get lots and lots of innate HP regen (that somehow scales with level.) Damage is normal, attack speed low, movement below average, high health, above average but not super defense. above average mana pool.
My idea is to give him 3 general spells that interact in various ways for different combos (anti hero, lane pushing, or healing) while havin defense from insta gibs (spells) and an ultimate which I really just thought was cool cause of the mummy. His damage spells should be maybe 1/2 of that of a normal damage spells since he can stack them on in various ways and damage is often not their only component.
He should have double the swing timer of a normal hero and each zombies should have 10% of his damage. Zombies should have no timer and should have decent but not great life regen (maybe double an average hero.) He should be a ranged hero, and I kinda made him balanced around a hero just getting in his face and sticking to him being his death. He should focus on fighting people in his face by draining life and keeping alive while slowly wearing them away.
